Last May 15-16, 2024, Magsaysay Global Services, Inc. (MGSI) attended the Philippines Austria Friendship Week organized by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW). The event, in collaboration with the Embassy of Austria, celebrated the strong diplomatic relation between the two countries, highlighting the role of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in Austria.
The Austrian delegation was headed by Austrian Ambassador to the Philippines His Excellency Johann Brieger accompanied by delegates from the Austrian business community seeking skilled Filipino professionals. The Philippines was represented by DMW Secretary Atty. Hans Leo Cacdac, who delivered the opening remarks and other DMW officials. Magsaysay was represented by Magsaysay People Resources President Mr. Marlon Roño, MGSI President Mr. Patrick Maxwell, and MGSI General Manager Mr. Alvin Gonzales.
In his speech during the B2B meeting organized by the Philippine Association of Service Exporters, Inc. (PASEI), themed Friendships Beyond Business, Mr. Roño shared, “Austria and the Philippines share a rich history of bilateral relations, and its inspiring to see how both our governments and private sector come together to explore new avenues of cooperation and partnership. In this journey together, we look forward to forging more than just professional connections; but building relationships, building friendships. Both Austrians and Filipinos are two of the happiest people on the planet. We look forward to sharing success and sharing happiness. And to spread happiness!”
